Full Truckload (FTL)
How it Works

FTL is a type of transportation service where a single shipment or load is large enough to fill the entire capacity of a truck.
In this case, the entire truck is reserved for transporting the goods of a single shipper or consignee.
This can be advantageous for companies shipping large quantities of goods as it provides greater control over the transportation schedule and can be more cost-effective compared to smaller shipping options.

1. Booking: The shipper, which could be a manufacturer, distributor, or retailer, contacts a carrier to book an entire truck for their shipment. This can be done directly with a carrier or through a freight broker or third-party logistics provider.
2. Loading: The shipper prepares the goods for shipment and loads them onto the truck. Since it's a full truckload, the entire capacity of the truck is utilized by the shipper's cargo.
